Insert Grinding Capabilities. We can produce finished indexable inserts from raw pressed blanks. We grind inserts top and bottom simultaneously to within five tenths of an inch. LOVEJOY is capable of doing peripheral grind on Carbide as well as CBN and Silicon Nitride inserts. Our machines allow automatic gauging and wheel dressing during the grinding process. Edge landing is also done during the same grinding process to ensure edge quality. Honing and Laser Marking of the inserts are the final stages to providing our customers with the highest quality of machining accuracy. |
